A word from the President: January 2011 :

Two major test campaigns were held at the end of the year at Intespace: the thermal-vacuum testing of the EAB module of the ATV 3 (Automated Transfer Vehicle) "Edoardo Amaldi", the European spacecraft designed for refuelling the International Space Station (ISS), and testing of the Astra 2E communications satellite reflectors.

How does it works :

Satellite Assembly, Integration and Tests: All Astrium communications satellites - civil or military - are assembled, integrated and tested (AIT) at the company's Toulouse site, in the Astrolabe and Intespace cleanrooms, the component parts having arrived from sites in France, Germany, Spain and the UK.
