Intespace, specialist and European leader in environmental testing is a company certified ISO 9001/EN 9100/ISO17025.

Intespace was created in 1983 in order to undertake the space activities of Toulouse-SOPEMEA. Intespace's shareholders are the EADS Astrium and Thales Alenia Space.

Intespace owned subsidiary of Astrium (87%) and Thales Alenia (13%) disposes a Test Centre in Toulouse of 20,000 square meters, connected to the integration room of satellites Astrium.

More than 11.5 million Euros have been invested on this site since 2000 so as to develop and upgrade these test facilities.

The company also has a subsidiary in the Netherlands, ETS, founded with the German company IABG to manage the test facilities of the technical centre of ESA (European Space Agency).

Intespace inaugurated in 2010 the new test centre of Elancourt in the site of  Astrium to be closer to its customers in the Paris region.

Intespace disposes three different centres of environmental testing:

  • The headquarters in Toulouse.

  • The Test centre ETS (European Test Services), dedicated to space tests, is operated in collaboration with the German IABG and located at Noordwijk (Netherlands).

  • The new Elancourt site, near to Paris, so as to be closer to Astrium Satellites and its clients of Ile de France.
